Peter Read

Senior Church Leader

Peter was born in Japan, but from the age of seven grew up in Stockport, south Manchester, where he trained and worked in architecture. He was the Pastor’s Assistant at Bethshan Tabernacle from November 1981 and then in 1983 helped plant Reddish Community Church and became their Senior Pastor. In 1999 he joined Bedworth Christian Centre in Warwickshire as Senior Associate Pastor and a couple of years later this became known as King’s Community Church.

In 1992 Peter began to study part-time at Nazarene Theological College in Manchester, graduating with an MA in Theology in 1998. Since 1996 he has been a  lecturer at Regents Theological College in Malvern, teaching courses in Leadership, Management, and Christian Ministry.

Pete and Gill were married in 1982, and have 3 children; Tim, Jonny, and Abi. His iterests include Rugby, travelling, cycling, films, theatre, gardening, reading historical mystery novels, chess, the gym, going out for meals, and time with friends…and Gill!

Matt Town

Assistant Pastor

Matt completed his final year of studies at Regents Theological College in Malvern, in 2012, and took up the position of Assistant Pastor early in June 2012. 
 
Matt is married to Jo, and they have three children, Caleb, Olivia & Jonas. Next to his insatiable love for all things family and friends, Matt will generally be found In the company of his trustworthy thinking friends – medium roast & lemon drizzle! Other things that keep him happy are – reading, music, good sports like tennis and basketball, travelling and eating Jo’s incomparable home baking.
